Nearby clearing pressure
GREEN doesn't mean nothing is happening nearby. Hansen and JRC TMF only update annually; we watch separately, in near-real-time, down to about a week.
Plot change alertsBeta
Opt in after your first screening for a weekly re-check of the nearby-pressure signal and an annual re-run of the forest-cover baseline. If a scheduled check detects a status change, we email you. Your original report is unchanged if you do not subscribe.
Public satellite datasets, with sources disclosed
EUDR Article 9 requires geolocation data for production plots. The screen combines published JRC, Hansen/UMD, and Global Forest Watch/Wageningen layers, each with different resolution, coverage, and update limits.

- JRC Global Forest Cover 2020: a 10m-pixel reference-year forest-cover layer used as one input to the screen.
- Change detection
- Hansen Global Forest Change + JRC Tropical Moist Forest, annual loss & degradation.
- Resolution
- Native pixels reach 10m in the finest layer. The result still reflects the submitted geometry, screening area, and limits of every contributing dataset.
- Coverage
- Global screening where the underlying layers provide coverage. Layer-specific gaps and unavailable locations are disclosed rather than treated as clean.
How we handle your data
Supplier lists include names, coordinates, and sometimes addresses. Here's exactly what happens to that data.
Only what's needed, where it's needed
Satellite queries only ever see coordinates, never supplier names or addresses. Geocoding sees the minimum text needed, one row at a time.
Core screening files: 30 days
Uploaded files, results, and reports for a one-off screening are kept for 30 days so you can download them, then deleted automatically.
No password to remember
Access is through unguessable private links rather than a password account. Anyone with a link can open it, so treat it like a password. We do not sell or train models on your supplier data.
Longer retention applies when you opt into Plot change alertsBeta, create a supplier-collection campaign, or keep a producer profile. Those records support the ongoing service you requested and follow the retention and deletion terms in our privacy policy.
Questions we'd ask too
Does screening replace EUDR due diligence?
No. It is a first-pass signal to help focus your investigation. It does not replace field verification, the risk assessment and any mitigation required under Articles 10 and 11, or submission of a due diligence statement.
What happens if a supplier comes back RED?
Investigate that specific plot first: check the before/after imagery in the report, verify the coordinates, and if it's agroforestry or shade-grown, be aware coarse satellite baselines can misread canopy structure as loss. RED means "look here first," not "drop this supplier."
My coffee or cocoa is grown under shade, in an agroforestry system. Will that trigger false flags?
It can. Coarse forest-cover baselines sometimes misread agroforestry canopy structure as loss, or mask real clearing under existing canopy. This limitation is documented on every report and on the upload page.
Is my supplier data safe?
Core one-off screening files are deleted after 30 days, and satellite queries receive coordinates rather than supplier names or addresses. Ongoing monitoring, collection campaigns, and producer profiles require longer-lived records. See How we handle your data and the Privacy Policy for the exact retention rules.
How long does a screening take?
It depends on the size of your list, but you'll see live progress while it runs. We aim to return supported portfolios the same day. The PDF report, with before/after imagery for each screenable location, generates in the background so you can keep working.
How is this different from hiring a compliance consultancy?
Same day, not weeks, and a fraction of the cost. Every supplier gets screened today, so a consultancy's time goes only where it's actually needed: the handful of plots that need field verification, not your whole list.
